One of the most interesting and educational events in Northern California, the Kokanee Festival offers a variety of educational and entertaining events. Follow the beautiful Rainbow Trail to Taylor Creek and see Kokanee Salmon making their way upstream or participate in one of the trail runs.
Each year, LTWC operates a BBQ booth at the Kokanee Festival, offering delicious salmon plates, barbequed chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos and more. All proceeds benefit LTWC, so be sure to stop by the booth to get a delicious lunch and support a great cause!
We need your help!
The Kokanee Festival is one of LTWC’s most important fundraisers, and we need your help! Please contact us at (530) 577-Care if or info@ltwc.org if you can volunteer.
For more information on the Kokanee Festival, visit the Taylor Creek Visitor Center webpage.
Google says: Taylor Creek Visitor Center is at:
Visitor Center Road South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150
It is off Hwy 89, really close to Fallen Leaf Rd but on the opposite side of Hwy 89. The Oktoberfest is at Camp Richardson, in walking distance.
