The Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care annual Open House will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, August 4, 2013 at LTWC, 1485 Cherry Hills Circle, South Lake Tahoe, CA.
This is the one time of the year the public is allowed to visit orphaned and rehabilitating animals before they are released back into the wild!
LTWC volunteers will give informative and guided tours of LTWC, during the Open House, which make it a fantastic experience for the whole family.

LTWC’s Annual Open House is always the first Sunday in August from 10am to 4pm. This year (2013), that date is August 4th. If you are here in mid July, it does not sound like you will be here, unless you are staying for 2 – 3 weeks. Sorry. Last year, we had over 1100 people come to see what LTWC does and get a glimpse of most of the birds and animals we care for. Thanks for your question.

Unfortunately, we are not open for the public, EXCEPT for the first Sunday in August when we hold our annual Open House. We have many requests – during the year – from people such as yourself who would like to see LTWC. We are in hopes that these requests will be approved once we get our new location and facility.
