July 22, 2008. On Tuesday afternoon, Smokey's appetite is improving (the dish in front of him had been filled with peaches and fruit cocktail). However, he's not out of the woods yet.

Smokey has had all four of his bandages changed each day since he arrived at LTWC last Friday. This keeps the healing skin moist and clean. He's also kept in a cage that allows LTWC officials to monitor his eating habits and his fecal matter.
