Freedom at last! Li'l Smokey finally gets permission to get outside and breathe some clean, Tahoe air!  He was carried outside in a smaller version of the pet carrier than he was in up in the clinic at Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care.  He was only in this carrier for about 10 minutes, just long enough to wake up from his daily anesthesia after getting his four paws cleaned and new bandages applied.
